Advice: Family of four, three days
Hello! We are a family of four (two teenagers) who are going to be in Porto in late March and are hoping to do 3 days (two nights) on the Camino. We have a car, and our plan was to drive to Pontevedre on March 30 and begin the walk to Barro/ Portela and spend the night there, keeping our first day easy. Second day would also be light, going from Portela to Caldas de Regis, and spending some time in the thermal baths in the afternoon and spend the night in Caldas de Regis. Third day would be our longest, from Caldas to Padron. From Padron, we would get a taxi back to our vehicle in Pontevedre, then drive to Santiago de Compostella with the intention of taking a tour and spending the night in the area. We begin driving Lyon, France, the next day, April 2nd.
I would love to hear any advice/ thoughts on this plan. We have minimal gear with us, so are hoping to stay in hostels or hotels where we won't need a sleeping bag or other items, and where we can get breakfast and a sack lunch. What are things we should definitely have for our walk? Other gear? Other considerations?
Thank you in advance for your help!
