Juan Miguel Sol...

Gumnut Carlos, the host, is certainly passionate about his albergue, which he has built up over the years. He offers a great service of collecting pilgrims at the previous town to avoid having to walk this entire long stage. There's a very unique stamp and warm welcome complete with a glass of port. The ancient bathroom is in serious need of replacement though. The breakfast (for an additional 3 euro, in a separate building) didn't quite meet the high expectations set for it by Carlos but was adequate. |

Csaba Matucza Szép szállás! A tulajdonos nagyon kedves, udvarias. Szép bejegyzés a zarándokútlevélbe. |

Pedro Antonio C...

Jppereira Carlos Pinheiro owns a fantastic hostel in the beautiful village of Alvaiázere. As a pilgrim himself, he also has a beautiful stamp to seal the credentials of Santiago de Compostela pilgrims. His love for the Camino is truly unique. Carlos Pinheiro is a true enthusiast of the Camino de Santiago. His dedication and love for this journey are truly unparalleled. Besides being an experienced pilgrim, he has an incredible hostel in the charming village of Alvaiázere. Carlos' hostel is more than just a place to rest. It is a welcoming refuge for all those embarking on the exciting journey towards Santiago de Compostela. He knows, like few others, the importance of providing an environment where pilgrims can recharge their energy, find comfort, and share stories of their experiences. But Carlos doesn't stop at offering shelter. He has a special stamp that is like a jewel to pilgrims. By stamping each pilgrim's credentials, he leaves his mark and contributes to the journey of each individual. This gesture symbolizes not only Carlos' support and hospitality but also the connection among all those who walk the Camino. It is inspiring to see someone so passionate about a cause and so committed to helping others. Carlos understands that the Camino de Santiago is not just a physical trail but also a spiritual and personal journey. He is there to encourage and motivate every pilgrim who passes through his hostel, offering words of encouragement and unconditional support. If you are considering doing the Camino de Santiago, Carlos' hostel in Alvaiázere is definitely a place where you will find not only shelter but also a unique and enriching experience. His passion for the journey and his desire to help others make him an exceptional host. So, no matter which stage of your journey you are in, remember that the love for the Camino is what drives people like Carlos. Allow yourself to be inspired by that contagious energy and let the Camino de Santiago transform your life. May Carlos Pinheiro's motivation and spirit be a constant reminder that the Camino is much more than a trail – it is a journey of self-discovery, overcoming challenges, and human connection Buen camino |

LuHall The host and his son were very attentive and helpful. We were able to get a three bed room for just the two of us. The water was hot. The stamp for our credential was very unique and different and we enjoyed watching the host do it. |

ChrisGM Acogedor, reconfortante y limpio.
