Hi Lea, there isn't any place named Beda. Maybe, the place is Queveda? If he is walking North path, and he was on 19th in Quedeva, maybe now he is near Vilalba: https://www.gronze.com/etapa/lourenza/abadin You can phone to some hostels near there.
Gracias
Lots ok luck!

Hi. Nobody knows how many people walk the Camino, cause not everybody gets to Santiago. Just to have a general idea, if you check the statistic of Pilgrims Office in Santiago, in 2017: 180.000 persons walked Camino Francés and 17.800 walked Camino del Norte, but this reffers only for pilgrims that get to Santiago and register themselves in that office.

If he decided to take the detour into the Primitive path, maybe he is now near Grandas de Salime or Fonsagrada: https://www.gronze.com/etapa/grandas-salime/fonsagrada This option probably has less mobile coberage.
