Albergue Monte Aro - Comentarios

I read all the positive comments and chose to walk 7kms further today to experience this albergue for myself. I’m so glad I did! On a practical level the albergue has everything a pilgrim could want: lovely indoor and outdoor communal areas; super comfortable beds with warm quilts; lockable lockers (no coins required); washing and drying machines and hand wash facilities; big fridge, kettle, microwave; delicious home-cooked food (menú del día with 3 choices each course, bread, wine or water, pudding and great coffee…all for 12€); and, best of all, a wonderful, welcoming, friendly, professional hostess in Tanya. The albergue has a small shop and cafeteria just across the road and has been here 6 years, but still looks brand new…10/10… If I ever walk this way again I will definitely stay here a second time :-)

My experience here was excellent. The dormitory building has a nice combination of modern facilities and old style stone walls. The bunk beds have a thick blanket, an outlet, a light, a small shelf, a locker with a key, and good headroom in the lower bunk. The shower had very hot water very quickly, and the shower head is hand held not fixed in place so you can move it around. There are two washers and dryers for 4 euro each. The bar on site is convenient and very good. The WiFi is excellent and the staff is friendly and helpful. Toilets are on the lower floor and beds are on the upper floor, so be careful during the night Highly recommended. I would stay here again.

Aqui fomos recebidos pela responsável Tânia, uma simpatia de pessoa, sempre atenta aos peregrinos. Um Albergue com boas camas e banhos suficientes. Tem microondas e frigorífico. Há também um bar/restaurante. Há noite Tânia e Mónica prepararam um jantar maravilhoso. Recomendo

25 de marzo. Muy buen albergue, da la impresión de que todo es nuevo. La hospitalera es atentísima y muy dispuesta a ayudar.

At 7km prior to arriving at Olveiroa in the direction towards Fisterra. Good alternative stop. Modern, clean, full kitchen, hot shower. Has a cafe with menu of the day and breakfast at 7am. The town is a quiet one without other bar or cafe.

quiza cuando yo llegue ya arreglaro lo que se comenta por otros peregrinos que la literas estaban demasiado juntas para ubo muchos espacio y sin ningun problema un 10 como albergue

Estoy de acuerdo con todos sobre el trato, la comida y la limpieza pero es verdad que hay demasiadas literas en la sala y no entra aire durante la noche que tambien significa que hay un calor tremendo. Por favor si podéis cambiar eso.

A lovely place, very nice and confortable. The kitchen isn't really made for cooking but you don't need it because the pilgrim's menue is cheap and really delicious. The hospitaliera is friendly and kind

Schöne Unterkunft, sauber, gemütlicher Aufenthaltsraum. Das Essen war gut mit sehr leckerem Käsekuchen. Das Frühstück wirkte etwas unorganisiert, das könnte noch verbessert werden - alle wollen zur gleichen Zeit frühstücken und dann losgehen.
