The Stone Boat Guesthouse for Pilgrims - Comentarios

My feedback is mixed. My wife and I had reservations to stay one night at The Stone Boat during our 2019 camino. Kim, the owner, contacted me via email expressing concern that I had not checked in for the date of our reservation. Unfortunately, I got my date mixed up. Kim was helpful suggesting an albergue to stay in two nights later. Jacotrans delivered my wife's backpack to The Stone Boat and we retrieved it there when we arrived in town. Kim was kind and gave us some of her delicious banana nut bread for the next day's hike to El Cruz de Ferro. Kim also said that since Booking.com charged us the full room amount despite our "no show" that she would let us stay at the Stone Boat during our next camino and not charge us for the room. The reason for my NS/NC rating is I sent Kim a few photos I took the day before and also thanked her for the banana bread. No response. Late last year I contacted Kim again saying we were hiking Camino Frances in 2020 and we wanted to take her up on her offer to stay without charge. No response. I recently checked Booking.com and a double room is available the day we hike into Rabanal. I again asked Kim if her offer to stay without charging us was still available. No response. I've read favorable comments from others that have stayed at The Stone Boat, but not responding to my inquiries is quite rude, so we've booked another albergue for our night in Rabanal this fall.
