Gîte d'étape communal de Pomps - Comentarios

The info on gronze says they take reservations but they never answered emails, text messages or the telephone. I phoned the Pomps city hall and asked “is the communal Gîte open or closed?” She was surprised and phoned the man running the Gîte and took my reservation. Several pilgrims were in need of a Gîte in Pomps as the stage is too long but were told the Pomps communal Gîte was complete. We arrived 4 women (ages 25-65) and met 2 middle-aged men as the managers and very disorganized. They apparently were too tired to handle more pilgrims. However, one cooked the dinner without any shirt on just an apron. Then at dinner he stood behind me and his belly rubbed against my back. He made comments about our underclothes. Then after 2 of us were in the dormitory in our night t-shirts one man walked in without knocking, I said Hey! and he didn’t stop but continued to enter stood there and said Bon Chemin. This behaviour together is clearly not appropriate and verges on predatory. It’s a shame because the gite is new, modern and good location. I DO NOT advise any young women to stay here unless management changes.
