Quinta das Leiras - Comentarios

We were scheduled to stay in this property on 22nd March. We arrived within the check in window to find the place deserted and a message on the door saying that a neighbour had a key. The neighbour was out, no idea when or if she would return. We tried to contact the owners but with no joy. We had no choice other to find somewhere else to stay. The owners are refusing to refund the money. It would appear that the owners live in Germany and are attempting to let their property at a distance offering services such as washing, transport to restaurants etc which they clearly cannot fulfill. It is hard to consider this as anything other than a scam.
